LAG LIKA held the first meeting with representatives of milk and cheese producers with the aim of starting the process of placing the name of Lika Škripavac under protected geographical indication (PGI), initially on the national level, and after that on the level of EU.
There is a market for this kind of quality products, and Lika is recognizable for production. Protection of this product will help to increase production to a higher level and branding Lika as an area offering quality food.
This is another important project implemented as part of the INTEGRA LIKA 2020 project, which will make Lika a destination recognizable for its rich offer of native specialties.
