Through the SFERA project (Strategic Framework for Entrepreneurship in Rural Areas), which we are implementing with our partners in Italy, we have gathered some interesting insights!
📢 State of entrepreneurship in the rural areas of the Lika-Senj County and the Apulia region (Italy)
Both Lika-Senj County and the Apulia region face numerous challenges, as well as opportunities for entrepreneurial development:
📉 Demographic Trends:
Apulia, a region in southeastern Italy, experienced a 2.43% population decrease from in the period from 2002 to 2023. Lika-Senj County saw an even sharper decline, with a population drop of 15.91% over the last 10 years.
🌱 Positive Trends in Tourism:
Despite population decline, both regions continue to attract a growing number of visitors, thanks to their natural beauty and rich gastronomy.
💼 Growing Sectors:
Tourism, agriculture and construction are key sectors driving economic growth in both regions.
Apulia has recorded a minimal decrease in the number of active businesses, while Lika-Senj County has seen an increase in the number of companies.
⚠️ Challenges for Entrepreneurs:
Entrepreneurs in both regions face similar challenges:
Limited access to credit and financing
Insufficiently developed infrastructure
Lower competitiveness compared to urban areas
Migration of young and educated people to larger cities
💡 Entrepreneurial Spirit:
Despite the challenges, the potential for entrepreneurship is growing, although the entrepreneurial spirit is still less present than in urban centers.
Both regions hold significant potential for further development; however, addressing infrastructure and demographic challenges is key to fostering new entrepreneurial ventures. 👩💼👨💼

Kroz projekt SFERA (Strategic Framework for Entrepreneurship in Rural Areas), kojeg provodimo s partnerima u Italiji došli smo i do zanimljivih podataka!
📢 Stanje poduzetništva u ruralnim područjima Ličko-senjske županije i regije Apulija (Italija)
Ličko-senjska županija i regija Apulija suočavaju se s brojnim izazovima, ali i prilikama za razvoj poduzetništva:
📉 Demografski trendovi:
Apulija, regija na jugoistoku Italije, zabilježila je pad stanovništva od 2,43% u periodu od 2002. do 2023. godine. Ličko-senjska županija bilježi još veći pad, čak 15,91 % u posljednjih 10 godina.
🌱 Pozitivni trendovi u turizmu:
Unatoč smanjenju stanovništva, obje regije privlače sve više posjetitelja zahvaljujući prirodnim ljepotama i bogatoj gastronomiji.
💼 Sektori u porastu:
Turizam, poljoprivreda i građevinarstvo su ključni sektori koji potiču gospodarski rast u obje regije.
Apulija bilježi minimalan pad aktivnih poduzeća, dok Ličko-senjska županija bilježi porast broja poduzeća.
⚠️ Izazovi za poduzetnike:
Poduzetnici obje regije suočavaju se sa sličnim izazovima:
Otežan pristup kreditima i financiranju
Nedovoljno razvijena infrastruktura
Manja konkurentnost u odnosu na urbana područja
Migracija mladih i obrazovanih ljudi u veće gradove
💡 Poduzetnički duh:
Unatoč izazovima, potencijal za poduzetništvo raste, iako je poduzetnički duh još uvijek manje prisutan nego u urbanim središtima.
Obje regije imaju velik potencijal za daljnji razvoj, no ključno je riješiti infrastrukturne i demografske izazove kako bi se potaknuli novi poduzetnički pothvati. 👩💼👨💼

U srcu predivnih, ali nerazvijenih regija Ličko-senjske županije i Apulije, mala i srednja poduzeća (MSP) suočavaju se s ključnim izazovima koji koče njihov rast i konkurentnost. Evo što im je potrebno:
